Eco-Art

Xavier Cortada uses art’s elasticity to engage, educate, and inspire community members to work and learn together to address important ecological concerns. In Miami-Dade, Cortada created the “Reclamation Project,” the county’s longest running mangrove reforestation initiative, as well as “Native Flags,” a native tree reforestation project that has seen every public school in the county plant a native tree and flag on school grounds.
