“Youth In Action: Environmental Activism Through Engaged Art” Livestream with Earth Echo & UF SEFS

February 2, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Join Scientist in Every Florida School and EarthEcho International for a conversation with Xavier Cortada, an artist, Professor of Practice at the University of Miami Department of Art and Art History, and Artist-in-Residence at Pinecrest Gardens. Particularly environmentally focused, the work he develops is intended to generate awareness and action towards issues of global climate change and social justice. Xavier strives to use socially engaged art and science to activate change-makers throughout the world.
This conversation will be led by EarthEcho’s Youth Leaders, Apurva Iyengar and Ameilia Fortgang, who play a key role leading EarthEcho’s education programs while developing and implementing campaigns to mobilize their peers worldwide to protect our water planet.
