In a collaboration with Tec de Monterrey Professor Diana Correa and 32 students, Cortada created a collaborative art piece aimed at engaging Mexico city students and residents in conversations about human traffic, child abuse, slavery, human rights, and labor exploitation by the fashion and cosmetic industry. In “Fabric of Humanity,” hosted by the Hemispheric University Consortium, Tec de Monterrey and University of Miami College of Arts and Sciences, Professor Cortada will share with Mexican students some of his environmental activist experiences to inspire them to build their own garment and co-create solutions to these complex problems.
