WebStudio

The WebStudio is an Internet-based collaborative art project, which brings viewers into the studio of Miami artist Xavier Cortada.

During scheduled times, participants can interact with the artist to create a "collaborative" painting.  This is done  using two webcams and a live chat room.  Input is also received through discussion forums.  For more information on the WebStudio, please follow hyperlinks on the toolbar.

Please visit the WebStudio archives to see the chatroom logs, and webcam gallery of   previous WebStudio projects, including the Love Painting, the Painting on Society and the Master-Peace murals created during Spring 1999 with students in four elementary schools.

Currently the artist is using the WebStudio to implement Master-Peace 2000, a project in which he is collaborating with students in ten Miami-Dade County students to create ten murals focusing on the lessons humanity has learned during the past ten centuries.
