Xavier Cortada for Circuit Judge

Dear Friend:

After 25 years of distinguished service, Judge Steven D. Robinson, on March 19th, 2002 announced his retirement from the Circuit Court.  Two days later, Xavier Cortada filed to run for election for the vacancy that Judge Robinson's retirement creates in the Circuit Court Juvenile Division (Group 46).  I'm writing to introduce you to my friend Xavier Cortada and to ask for your support in his campaign.

I've known Xavier Cortada for many years, and think extremely highly of him.  He has the background, experience, sensitivity, and temperament to make a superb judge on our Juvenile Court.  He has served as the Chair of the Juvenile Courts Committee of the Dade County Bar Association and as Chair of the Forums Committee of the Miami-Dade Community Relations Board.  I've worked closely with him on a number of efforts involving juvenile justice issues, including a project here at the law school involving our Children and Youth Law Clinic, on which he serves as a member of its Advisory Board.  

As co-chair of his campaign committee, I'm inviting you to provide your endorsement and support, and to make a contribution to his campaign by sending a check made payable to "Campaign of Xavier Cortada" and mailing it to:
